This week was the week where KGLT reports to BMI (the songwriters' publishing house) what songs are played, so that BMI can distribute a check for a dime, probably, to someone for each time their song was played! We never know which week it is, so we can't really plan for it; but it's fun to scramble to play people we think deserve some dough for their songwriting! At these times, we always tend to favor smaller bands, though we have no clue who actually gets paid or not! Hopefully they can get another cup of coffee and keep making music!
